The ocean is a little more disturbed today with waves up to 10 feet. The ride is still not that bad however. Cause of the waves is the 40 knot winds coming from the northwest. It is warming up slowly as we proceed northward. Temperature was 62F at noon. The Captain's noon PA said more of the same for tomorrow. Tomorrow is another day at sea.
What We Did Last Night:
Mikah Horn on left and Lauren Thomas on right.
Our great evening started in the Horizon Lounge with some Leuve Clicquot champagne followed by dinner in Compass Rose. We got kind of a late start to the evening as Lauren & Mikah had to perform at 6:00 in the theater for the James Bond Cocktail Event. We skipped dessert so we could rush to the soprano, Rachael Russell's show. She was really good. Mikah is from Stephenville, Texas, but lives in New York City now. She is the lead female singer in this Jean Ann Ryan Productions company. We met Lauren in 2014 on our Miami to Tahiti cruise. She is a dancer with the JAR company and from the UK.
What We Did Today:
Usual morning; up at 8:00, breakfast in suite at 8:30, workout at 10:30, showered then lunch at 12:45. Yesterday afternoon and this afternoon I will be selecting what excursions we will be wanting to book for our 2017 World Cruise. During that cruise we will be visiting 6 continents and 31 countries. Excursion booking for it open on May 10th so I want to be ready as there will be 62 ports of call.
Today is my mother's 88th birthday so I called her to wish her a happy birthday. It was 7:30 her time so I beat my two sisters to giving her a call. We had given a birthday card to a friend in Dallas to mail prior to leaving home.
Sorry that the blog posts while at sea are not very exciting. We have another day at sea tomorrow before arriving in Uruguay. Still have propulsion problems limiting our speed to 13 knot so hope the divers there can fix the azipod.
After cocktails and dinner we plan to go the Jean Ann Ryan production show, "Dancing in the Streets".
