What We Did Today:
First of all, let me remind any new blog readers that to see the 22 posting I made in January you will have to go to the "blog archive". It is located on right side of blog below the itinerary. Click on January to view all those postings.
Today we are cruising off the coast of Chile on our way to Coquimbo, Chile. Like yesterday's port this is also one we have not been to. I hope the swell is more cooperative and we can actually do the excursions. The pier at this port was also heavily damaged by last year's earthquake so we will be tendering ashore again. During his noon PA announcement the Captain kind of danced around the fact that the swell may be too big for us to tender tomorrow also.
Typical day at sea for us. Room service breakfast, worked out, cleaned up, lunch up in La Veranda. Took this photo this afternoon of the view of ocean out our balcony. Pacific is deceiving as the water is mirror-like. What you cannot see but can certainly feel, is the long swells that makes the ship roll a bit. We are just back from a future cruise presentation. At the end was a raffle for a $250 ship board credit. We lost!!
At 6:00 pm there will be another "block party". This is where folks go out in the hallway, have some wine, and meet their neighbors. This is unique to Regent and we enjoy it. We will be going up to Sette Mari (Italian restaurant) for dinner around 7:00. Show tonight at 9:30 in the theater features the Jean Ann Ryan cast performing, "Back Stage Pass", production show. Yes, we saw the same show on the first segment but we will be on the front row again. There is another very funny event scheduled for 10:45. It's called "Liar's Club".
