DAY 13-CRUISING OFF WEST COAST OF COLUMBIA

 As you can see we are heading south off the west coast of Columbia.  Our next port of call will be Manta, Ecuador, tomorrow.  As we left the Panama Canal yesterday, the Captain warned that it may be a little rougher while cruising in the Pacific Ocean last night and today.  Well, so far the ride has not been bad.  At noon time the temperature is 83F under sunny but hazy skies.
What We Did Last Night:
We had dinner in Compass Rose last night.  We both had the sauteed veal liver with onions.  It was very well prepared and tasty.  Below was my dessert:  chocolate profiteroles (bourbon vanilla ice cream & warm chocolate sauce.

After dinner we went cabaret showtime featuring Marshal Carolan, the male lead Jean Ann Ryan cast singer.  Marshal has a great voice and was backed by the Regent Signature Orchestra.
What We Did Today:

After our normal 8:00 am breakfast from room service, we attended church service down in the Horizon Lounge which was lead by our cruise director, Jamie.  Since we were enjoying the very scenic canal transit yesterday, Jamie & Dana decided to hold the church service today while at sea.

This is the "Coffee Connection" where you can get specialty coffees, snacks, and just relax during the day.  We both grabbed a sugar free cookie here after church service.

At 10:15 this morning there was a refresher life boat drill.  On cruises over 13 days they hold this refresher.  Our Captain was very generous so we did not have to take our life preservers and go to our muster station.  Jamie just read over the PA system some safety reminders.  We went to the fitness center at 11:00 but it was packed.  I went up to deck 12 (deck above pool) and walked 4 miles in an hour,  Rebecca waited and went to the gym later,  At 1:00 pm we went up to La Veranda for lunch.  Featured today at outside buffet across from pool grill is an foods from India.  I am not a big fan of Indian food so I had a hamburger and fries.

This evening at 6:00 in the theater is a "007 James Bond" cocktail party.  The ship's singers and dancers will be singing and dancing to music from Bond movies.  We will be going up to Sette Mari, the Italian restaurant, for dinner.  At lunch I talked with Donald, the maitre'd of Sette Mari, and the chef up there.  The chef will be preparing veal parmesan for us.  I think it will be better than what we had down in Compass Rose last Saturday.  Don't get me wrong, it was good but needed more marinara sauce.  Tonight's showtime in the theater is featuring Jade Milian & Sameul E.  We have seen their shows on another cruise and she does a very good job singing Whitney Houston songs.

We will be in Manta, Ecuador, morning.  Will be up and about early as have an 8:00 excursion.
