There she is! Not a very sharp photo as was taken from almost a mile away. Breakfast finished and bags repacked. We were down in lobby at 11:30 for our 11:45 limo pickup to take us to the ship. We arrived at the port by noon, gave our checked bags to the porters, then proceeded through security. I had invited two of our friends from Miami to meet us at noon and come on ship for lunch and tour of the ship. We had met Josee and Mario back in 1992 on a cruise and then cruised with them several times. We had not seen them in about 10 years so it was a very nice reunion. I had to get approval from Regent security several months ago for them to visit the ship. We were also met in front of the cruise terminal by Jason, O'Keefe, Regent's manager of the Seven Seas Society. He had set up an exclusive luncheon for us and then Canos.
After passing through security, we arrived at the check-in area. Unfortunately, there is a big problem and they could not check folks in right away. As it turned out it took some people over 3 hours in line to get checked in. They were not happy campers! It was not Regent's fault but a problem with the Port of Miami's equipment. As we had the special lunch scheduled, Jason helped us get checked in close to front of long line.
This was our luncheon menu. I must say the sea bass was exceptional!! The beef was also very tasty and cooked just as we like it. It was Josee's birthday and the Restaurant Manager surprised her with a tiramisu dessert complete with the waiters singing to her. Also dropping by our table to say hello was the General Manager, Food & Beverage Manager, and Loyalty Ambassador. I should have mentioned that we were the only passengers allowed to dine in Compass Rose for lunch. Everyone else had to go up to the buffet. We felt very honored and our friends were super impressed. We really enjoyed meeting Jason and getting to know him.

As I am writing this it is 6:30 pm and we are still at the dock. Sail time was suppose to be 5:00 pm but they are still loading all the provisions on board. After all I did request 10 cases of our special chardonnay and can't leave without it!! We have had the life boat safety drill and finishing unpacking. Yes, good news! Our 8 pieces of luggage all made it to our suite. Running out of hangers so may have to finish unpacking last piece tomorrow. Time to get ready for cocktails and some dinner. Not really hungry after that lovely lunch but it's my job to eat what the chef prepares. Sail time had been moved to around 7:00 pm. I will add more photos and from today and other info in tomorrow's posting. We have two days at sea before arriving in St Barts on Saturday. I hope I did not make any errors as not time to proof read.
